Production of Gold Nanoparticle-Containing Chitosan Microcapsules Using an Inkjet Mixing System and Control of the Absorption Wavelength
Abstract summary. Inkjet mixing reduces a gold precursor and gels chitosan droplets to form gold nanoparticle-containing microcapsules. The study compares trade-offs among particle uniformity, encapsulation efficiency, and acid durability, and shows that thorn-growth conditions control the absorbance peak of sea-urchin-like gold nanoparticles.
Room-Temperature Flow Synthesis of Pd–Ru Solid-Solution Alloy Nanoparticles Using Microreactor and Catalytic Performance of Carbon Monoxide Oxidation
Abstract summary. A high-mixing microreactor enables room-temperature aqueous synthesis of Pd–Ru solid-solution alloy nanoparticles with uniform size and composition. Ru-induced local structural disorder provides optimal CO oxidation activity at a lower Pd composition than reported previously.
